Its nice solid wood, but the vertical support beams that are supposed to be screwed into the horizontal support beams, are about two inches too short & don't even reach to the floor. Due to this, the horizontal support frames are bending. I had to stack up felt pads to make it reach the floor, but then they moved & little by little caused the vertical wood beams to unscrew & just fall to the floor. I finally had to just go to Home Depot and buy new wood & struggle to screw it in. It was a real pain. Also, the panel at the foot of the bed had a small gash in it which I had to touch up with a marker so it isn't so noticeable. Other than these complaints, it is a nice bed.
