Hermina Plastic Dining Chair with Beechwood Legs

I purchased these end chairs to replace a set I had lost during my divorce, which I had originally bought from Wayfair and absolutely loved. Those original chairs were incredibly comfortable, with a well-contoured plastic seat that almost hugged your body and never felt hard, even after sitting for a while. When I found these, they looked very similar online, so I expected a comparable level of comfort along with a slightly more substantial, elevated look. Unfortunately, comfort is where these chairs really miss the mark. While they look sleek and modern, the seat has an almost convex shape that makes them feel surprisingly hard and unforgiving. Sitting in them feels more like a church pew than a dining chair, and they’ve quickly become everyone’s least favorite seats in the house. They’re fine for very short periods, but no one chooses them voluntarily, which is disappointing given how good they look. By the time we realized how uncomfortable they were, they were already assembled and it was too late to return them. From a purely aesthetic and practical standpoint, these chairs do check some boxes. They’re easy to clean, feel sturdy, and definitely deliver on a more sophisticated, robust appearance. If you’re prioritizing looks and low maintenance over comfort, they may work for you. However, if you actually want people to enjoy sitting in them, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. For reference, the armless Wrenshall Plastic Side Chair is far more comfortable, though it doesn't have the armed design I was looking for.

These are awful. They are scratched and they’re way darker gray than what pictured. I’d have given zero stars if that had been an option

Love this chair, a knock off that is sturdy

Cute but not sturdy after having for a few weeks the bolts and screws keep falling off the bottom of several chairs.
