We got our handy man to put it together. We have it in our garage and it’s quite useful!

I love our Hall Tree. It was delivered in five boxes. My husband put it together over three different nights, but it seemed very straight forward. One box did have a crack in the door, but the manufacturer responded promptly and has sent a replacement!

It is as beautiful as the picture.

This entryway leaves a lot to be desired and takes a lot of effort to look like the picture. First, every column is individual. It comes in 5 separate boxes, mine was backordered so by the time everything arrived it was past the warranty and, of course, there were several broken pieces. Because it took us a long time to build around our infant being asleep I did not reach out to see if we could get new pieces, we just repaired as we went. Second, this comes with no hardware to connect everything together. When you're done building the 5 columns, that's it. You just have 4 cabinets plus the seat storage all standing haphazard next to each other. This requires a trip to the hardware store to get brackets to attach everything together and to the wall. The middle coat rack above the seat is also not connected, it screws into your wall. Third, if you have any molding along the bottom of your walls, this will not sit flush. We had to cut out the back so that they will sit correctly over the baseboard and against the wall. Just something to think about that did not occur to me when I ordered. Forth, the whole point of ordering this was for the storage. As our toddler has become more mobile and now is walking, we wanted a place to be able to put things in that he couldn't get to. These drawers look very nice for that however when you actually pull the drawer out, it only gives you about half the room that it actually could. This underutilization of space is frustrating. Overall, we put a lot of time and effort to make this sit right and look nice, modifying it and adding molding. It will work for us for now but eventually I'm sure we'll replace it. Honestly, I wish I had just found a local carpenter to custom build us a unit.
