Solid product, but the instructions need work. Overall, I’m happy with the quality of this hall tree, but the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. The written directions were mediocre, and several of the drawings were unclear (especially when it came to showing which screws belonged in which holes). Some of the pictures didn’t clearly show the pre-drilled holes in the boards, which led me to accidentally use two screws that were too long in one section. Unfortunately, that caused 2 visible holes that I had to patch. That said, the overall build quality seems good. The wall-mounted shelf went up easily, although I do wish it used more than just three mounting screws. Having both upper and lower mounting points would add more rigidity and long-term stability. The shoe bench is solid and feels sturdy enough to support a couple of people sitting while putting on or taking off shoes after a long day. Bottom line: The finished product looks good and feels durable, but the assembly experience could be much better. Clearer diagrams and better labeling of hardware would go a long way toward making this a truly great purchase.

I am giving this hall tree with storage bench less than five stars because the directions were very complicated and made it difficult to assemble. It is however a nice sturdy set after you assemble it. It looks very nice and was packaged well.

When we started the assembly if this item, we were very unsure. But as we progressed in assembly, we were presently surprised. As always delivers. This product will look absolutely wonderful in our foyer and will help us stay organized. We have not hung the top piece as we are painting our home interior. I can't wait to paint this room and hang this for backpacks and shoes.

4 stars due to instructions on the upper shelf being subpar. I had to take things off and flip them around more than once due to no clarification, just an image. LOVE the lower bench and show storage. My husband is 6’4 and has no issue sitting on the bench, it’s a decent height. Very sturdy.
