I bought this for the front hall,for guests who wantneed to sit down to take off their shoes. It is extremely stable and a bit taller than the seat of a dining chair, so I find it suits this purpose very well I use it as an extra seat in the living room when needed. I find this stool to be a quality piece, worth its cost.

Love, love, love these stools. We picked the ochee color and have them at the end of the bed. They are very solid and are great to sit on when putting your shoes on.
