I like the table. It does have an “office furniture” look. The veneer is very artificial looking and a lot more “red” tone with less deep brown than I wanted. It is extremely stableheavy and was easy enough for my husband and I to assemble with a drill, despite the absence of sensible directions. It’s a great size and can fit four people. We plan to use as a breakfastgame table. A little pricey for the style but certainly good, heavy materials. The foot bar makes a huge difference and is stable also.

This one has a larger base than the other one shown on Wayfair at a lower price. I opted for this one because of the large base. It is solid and very stable. Top can be installed with cherry up or solid black up. Instructions are not great but fairly intuitive. You'll need a drill with an 1/8th" bit, a 15mm open end wrench and an 18mm socket or wrench. If you install the footrest, you'll also need a 12mm socket or wrench. You only need to start the holes for the tabletop screws, so you don't have to drill deep. Use a portable drill with a phillips screw bit and you'll be good to go. The footrest is optional and best used for children or shorter adults; my knees barely fit with my feet on the rest (I'm 6' 2"). Very clean, simple appearance and fits well in a small space.

It is nice but be aware the tabletop DOES NOT have pre-drilled holes to screw the pedestal in. Get a pencil and turn the tabletop over. Put the pedestal on the back and mark where you need to drill a pilot hole. Get your drill and put a piece of tape on the bit at the depth you need to prevent you from going through the tabletop. Remember to stop when the tape touches the back of the top. I give it a 2 for that reason. It is also very heavy. As a woman, I struggled to handle the top by myself. Get help.
