Remember that class action lawsuit against Burger King for making the whopper look bigger than it actually is? Well I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Wayfair for making their couches look bigger, plumper and juicier than they are in real life. It's still a Whopper, it's just a lot thinner and sadder in real life than in the pictures. Same with this couch. Can you imagine trying to return a couch that was vacuum packed originally? You would need the box it came in, plus another box. You pay for return shipping...to the united states...it has to clear customs on the way back...ugh. You can't tell what it looks like until you wait the required 72 hours for the cushions to attempt a semblance of fluffing themselves, and spend several hours "gently patting" them, as per the manufacturers instructions. Ok so the Wayfair photos make it look like the back cushions is around 9 inches thick, and in real life, after carefully following all of the instructions to get them to fluff, it's around 4.5 inches thick. It's still a couch, but it's not like in the picture. I don't blame the manufacturer at all. Clearly, the manufacturer is honest and hardworking, it's the wayfair pictures that are the problem here. We all know that customer photos are the only honest representation of what a product actually looks like after you unbox it. I was the first silly person to fall for the potentially AI fluffed and staged photos of this couch. Y'all now have my photos to judge for yourselves. I'm concerned about the construction of the backrest, with steel bolts going through the strand board back. See the picture of the holes. I had purchased a bed frame constructed the same way from a high end supplier and it fell apart in a few months. I guess we'll see what happens with this one. My husband doesn't think this couch is comfortable, he's 220 pounds. I'm 130 and it's soft on the seat, perfect for me, but the back cushion is unsatisfactory. Unfortunately where I live - in Canada we don't have much choice for in person shopping. So it's buyer beware. I'll order from a different supplier in the future.
