This trying to bed was just what I was looking for. I have a piece of furniture when it's not being used. I looked at the Murphy beds but then it's just a cabinet. This gives you something to sit on. I love it. I'm very easy to slide out on the bottom bed. I did hire somebody to put it together which is a smart move to do. It took him an hour and a half. It would have taken me a day. We bought 2. They were a long assembly. They are nice though. Seem to be good quality. The drawers hold quite a bit and there’s plenty of open storage behind the drawers. What an incredible find?! We needed to replace the bunk bed at our cabin and were struggling to find a better alternative. Not only did the bed meet Our needs and price range, but thanks to the trundle, it saved so much space without losing any beds or the motif. Assembly was easy (took just under an hour with two people). We were missing two screws for one of the collapsible legs on the trundle, but it still works without that one bar. We already had two 6” mattresses from the old bunk bed, which we reused. It’s helpful for future buyers to know that the 6” was all we could get out of the trundle for it to roll in-and-out from under the bed frame with the comforter and sheets still on. Eventually, we added an 8” mattress to the top, which was even more comfortable and didn’t block the shelf on the headboard. Some of the other reviews say this unit is great as a children’s bed, which is true. But I’d like to add that a family friend and both my parents have used the beds (including my nearly 300 lb father) and it more than supports grown adults as well. My favorite features are the dual 110v outlets with a built-in USB charger, as well as the keyholes in the frame to convert both the trundle and top frame into a full without sliding apart mid-sleep. Only downside I’ve experienced is both frames squeak frequently, but the squeaking is not really enough to create a distraction or lose sleep over. Overall, this bed has been a smashing success. It looks great, supports kids and adults alike, and saves so much of space compared to other guest or bunk beds on the market.
