I use this to keep art supplies out of my 4 year olds hands unsupervised. Lock works great for that. Not sure I’d use it for actually security but to kid proof it’s perfect

Easy to assemble the wheels, all three drawers slide out easily, arrived undamaged and with all parts. Smudges can easily be wiped away. Wheel locks only on two of the wheels but they do function. Touch lock functions and is easy to program. I added black drawer lining material to the back using double sided tape to protect the baseboards from sharp metal edges.

This a decent small metal file cabinet. I like that it arrived mostly assembled. All that was required was putting the wheels on the bottom and inserting the hanger for hanging files in the bottom drawer. Only the bottom drawer accommodates hanging files. The top two drawers are about half as deep as the bottom drawer and will hold office supplies or flat notebooks or papers. The lock on the top drawer seems to me to be more of a nuisance than an asset as it keeps locking when closed. Overall the cabinet is somewhat flimsy and I wouldn’t consider anything in the top drawer to be really secure. I received my file cabinet dented and unusable. I wasn’t even able to open the drawers. The cabinet photographed here is a replacement sent by Wayfair. I have always found customer service to be very helpful and am pleased to have a working cabinet. If you have a lot of files to organize I suggest you get a file cabinet that has three drawers that can handle hanging files. The storage space on this file cabinet is limited. Also, fingerprints show up easily on the black cabinet so even though it’s brand new, the top has smudge marks.
