Fairly easy to assemble took me 2 hours. Hydraulic lift is smooth. Bed is lower than I thought it would be. Overall a nice bed.

Love the bed, but it did take a really long time to show up and had some defects on the velvet that are quite noticeable.

The bed frame itself is super cute. The profile is very low, making it the perfect transition from a crib to a "big girl bed." A two year old can easily climb in and out, even with foam bed bumpers. The hydraulic lift mechanism is a great storage feature. We are taking two stars off for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the bed was delivered in the wrong size. We ordered the full and received a queen, not realizing until after my paid contractor had already assembled the piece. The resolution is to pay for disassembly, return it, and place another order which will again require assembly--this is super inconvenient. The second reason is that the color is much a much darker, deeper mauve than the pink in the listing photos. Attached photo shows the queen frame with full size mattress.
