This bed is great for teen sleepovers! It was so easy to put together.

First, I'd like to say that my granddaughter loves this bed. Her dad put this bed together with the help of 2 other people and I'm quoting what he said. It was about 200 separate pieces, and the headboard didn't have the holes in the correct place for the padded hideaways. I had to make our own holes. Other than that big problem, easily fixed with some self-tapping screws though it went together well. The directions on the first page says not to put together in anger, call for help, and to have a few helpers. (I've never seen that in directions on page one before.) One part that sucked was the screws and hardware had letters and numbers, but was on the front, so when you tore the cardboard, you had to carefully keep flipping to see the next. Why they didn't print the numbers and letters on the back I have no clue. I recommend marking the other side yourself before beginning because there are hundreds of screws of different sizes.

I really wrestled with what to rate this item. My son loves the bed - so I give the design full credit. However assembly leaves something to be desired. There is a huge number of bolts - and it’s easy to mix them up. The parts are easily out of place when putting together. You really need two people to make it work. Then there is the price - which is good for what you are getting. So I’d say 4 out of 5 stars. If you’re looking for an inexpensive solution - particularly for children - you could do a lot worse. But be ready for a bit of a tussle putting it together.
