Canapé Meyer

I ADORE this sofa!!! Never before has a piece of furniture had me feeling such joy! EVERYTHING I wanted — perfect length (86”) and depth for my 6’1” husband to lie down completely stretched out, square arms (look how wide & flat they are!!!), plush cushions and pillows (like being hugged by a cloud!), the softest fabric, and an amazing color pattern (it’s like tweed; predominantly gray with gorgeous, subtle threads of black and gold throughout it, and my pics do NOT do it justice). I had visited a LaZBoy store fully intending to buy THIS sofa from them before I walked in — I was about to be the easiest sale they would ever make (#takemymoney) — but they said it would take 6-8 weeks minimum (!!!) to deliver this sofa or any other sofa. I needed a sofa ASAP after moving a long distance and could not wait that long, so I’d just have to settle for something else. But every sofa I sat on in every store had issues: Too short, not deep enough, low quality fabric, mesh on the bottom of the cushions (so you can’t flip them), a light fabric color that would stain easily and show marks/dirt, and/or straps below the cushions instead of a more solid structure. My heart sank, but you do what you gotta do, so I was about to pull the trigger on one of these dreadfully inferior options when I stumbled upon THIS sofa on Wayfair! Wayfair sells LaZBoy sofas?! And delivers in 2.5 weeks! And the price was INCREDIBLE! (I snagged this puppy in THE LAST HOUR of their Cyber Monday sale — AND used their 15% off coupon they send when you move and change your USPS address. BOOYAH. As Delivery Day approached, I could barely contain my excitement. Our days of sitting in cheap camping chairs in our living room were almost over. (WORTH IT.) When the delivery crew arrived, I wanted to hug them SO BADLY. (I didn’t. But I really, reaaaally wanted to.) After they left, I lounged on this beauty for 8 glorious hours (with bathroom breaks, of course; I’m not an animal) while enjoying a marathon of Christmas movies (and I don’t even like Christmas movies). And now I’m off to find the perfect coffee table and end tables this baby deserves! Wish me luck!
