1. Item is used. 2. item is dirty. 3.  prior owner, possibly damaged the zipper to where the tab was missing.  4. Someone tried to remedy the situation by adding a huge glob of hot, works to the zipper in a way that prevents it from opening and therefore you’d be unable to wash or clean it as advertised. 5. I understand open box, but this is actually a defective return that I’ve received and expect full refund.

The product photos show a zipper. However, when you receive it, the instructions state: "Please understand we remove the slider pull from the zipper in order to prevent children's access" and "Open cover using paper clip." Seriously? And it wobbles. Maybe it will settle after time. And pieces of yarn are pulled. See photo.
