After a short time of use the braided seat started to move and shift position. This made it look very cheap.

This stool was easy to assemble (just placing the legs). The seat is soft, plush and very attractive. Fits perfectly into my bathroom as a vanity stool!

I ordered this I think back in March (in fact so long ago I completely forgot I ordered it). Now imagine my surprise and delight when I opened my front door and found this package…beats finding a 20 bill in the dryer. I had ordered this stool because I require people to remove their shoes on entry. Now not everyone is as practical as i am. I am always in flip flops (note this stool is in my Texas house). So for the occasional (note I almost never have visitors) guest that shows up wearing footwear that in my opinion is impractical and inappropriate for 100 degree weather AND requires actual Yoga training to remove and put on shoes while standing -I have acquired this stool. Now why THIS stool The basket weave is visually interesting. Note I bought a sideboard with a weave on the doors from Wayfair- another 5 star item …. I like things with an unusual element. Anyway I also like velvet. I’ve got velvet all over the place- like on my dark purple angora mohair velvet sofa in my bedroom. Lastly I like things with brilliant color. Now for its intended purpose- weight max is 225. That’s a little dicey in this town however my enormous half Mexican half Irish bestie who probably weighs close to 350 wears flip flops AND just moved to Houston. So the stool is safe for the time being. As I said it’s mostly for guests putting on shoes however I did spend what seemed like an unexpectedly long time screwing the bolts in to hold the legs on. Note like most things Wayfair this shipped flat packed. It did come missing 1 leg bolt but 3 bolts hold each leg and since my giant friend is off in Houston anyway I think the stool is going to be ok. Now after all that you are probably wondering- will the stool sit unused since I am somewhat of an antisocial shut in No! It just so happens that it is just the right height to pull up to the little table I use to put dogs on when I ultrasonic their teeth. The seat really is quite comfortable. It is much more comfy than the tropical hardwood dining bench I drag over for the task (another lovely item from Wayfair). I could technically also sit on it while I trim them however I don’t want to get little bits of hair stuck to the velvet especially because the basket weave will pose a challenge to the lint brush (be warned cat people- kitty is going to love this thing!)
