Alvaretta Bed

I don’t know what they sent me but this isn’t the one that I purchased. It’s only two doors, and I specifically purchased the other because of the design. This bed doesn’t even connect to the shelf. Someone better send me the correct stuff because this is ridiculous. I hired a carpenter to put this together and this final product is not what I paid for! There’s also a dent on one of the doors! The first crown molding that I received was broken and the replacement doesn’t even line up to the shelf. It just looks terrible. I am really upset because I’ve purchased so many things from Wayfair and this is by far the most expensive item, so I for sure thought that everything was going to be fine.

The online pic of the Murphy bed with the nice molded design on the back of the bed & the bookshelf & bed at different height levels which I thought I was purchasing is NOT what was delivered. After the Handy.com man assembled the drawers & bookshelf , he showed me the back of the bed which was 2 plain doors with long handles. When I said that wasn’t what I ordered he thought they could probably just exchange the doors. The customer service woman I talked to told me “ no, the design I wanted was only for queen size. “I was very upset because I had spent soooo much time on the phone talking with the salesperson & specifically purchased this set over less expensive ones because of the design which was not so plain with the top level being flush & no molding. I asked the customer service person to return the bed. She said she couldn’t but could give me a discount. The Handy guy couldn’t finish it was a 2 man job . He said he could return in 2 days with help to finish. We waited for him yesterday. He didn’t show. I’ve taken a picture of what the bed looks like now in that room.

First let me say that Wayfair was very responsive to my issues and made appropriate corrections in an appropriate time frame This system arrives in Five unmarked boxes (so you must open all to find beginning marking 1-5 would really help). My initial delivery was only four boxes one was lost and they could not find. So they reordered five boxes to replace the four. I had a professional cabinet maker assemble this for me he figured two men One day it took three very complicated. There were several components where holes were not drilled the bottom of bed frame required additional support construction all in all it has turned into a nice piece of furniture but do not tackle this without experience in assembling very large jig saw puzzles!!

This is a high quality piece of furniture. The drawers are roomy and open and shut smoothly. The bed frame pulls down easily for an adult. It took my handyman 7 hours to assemble. He was impressed with the quality.
