You'd better hire a professional to assemble this product; it only took me 3 hours to assemble, but with major issues. To start off, the box was damaged. Expected, since one side is hollow, it happens, but this touched the hardware strap, and it was loose, rolling in the box. Next, you will need to make sure "ALL" hardware is accounted for. I, a professional assembler in furniture, have been doing this since 2004 had extra hardware. What I expected was NOT a hole in the side, ouch, here we go. The research found much damage to the hardware strap and other issues.
The other issues where manly quality control faults; you must look for damage to the manufacturing of said product. I found many cracks in the wood legs during the installation of locking base nuts. I had two base nuts crack the main base- thus I had to use wood glue and clamp to resecure it. There was another issues when I tightened a bolt on one leg it split in half! YES, in half. So what I had to do was split the crack and insert wood glue, then drill a hole to secure a screw to close it. This worked ok, but, unsatisfactorily!
You will come into missing hardware, this manufacture did not provide an extra Screw, Lock Washer, Washer, or Nut/Bolt. I found I wash missing Washers thus my extra supply was ok.
There was another issue where the labeling was WRONG in the box! The legs were labeled wrong in the assembly, so, like most woman/men will follow the map/diagram during assembly. We sometimes get caught up on the map and don't focus on the product. In my case, the product was not marked according to the assembly directions, thus confusion.... LOL, the legs were reversed, and I was perplexed to say the least.
IT IS ASSEMBLED NOW AND MY WIFE IS HAPPLY WITH IT, BUT, BE PREPARED!
