Beautiful table! Easy to assemble with 2 people. (I would definitely recommend 2 people, I don't even know how it would be possible for 1 person...) The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table. Until then, we are going to affectionately call the table "The Squeaky Wheel", and let guests know it's not their fault when the table is noisy.

I was a bit afraid to order this because of some reviews about product arriving damaged. However the price and size was so good that I took a gamble. Glad I did. Product arrived quick and was in pristine condition. No damage whatsoever. Assembly was simple and quick and I actually like the lighter cherry color. I am very happy with the purchase.

This table arrived damaged. Also, the way the pre-drilled holes were placed, assembly left a 14 inch gap across the middle of the table. Because of this i would NOT recommend this to anyone else to purchase.

You get what you pay for, would send back if it wasn’t a hassle. Bottom wood pieces were not cut straight so the table is wobbly. It is also an odd table height so finding chairs with the right seat height is very challenging.
