The bed is nice but definitely requires a box spring. Three slats is not enough support and the headboard is pretty high compared to the footboard. I don't like to see space behind my mattress.

Delivery and installation were quick and efficient, and the bed looks beautiful. However, it does require a box spring or additional support. The center legs and three thin slats do not adequately support the mattress. Although the specifications state that no box spring is required, the mattress sags between the slats once placed on the frame.
