The coffee table will be a 33.5 inch tall dining table when expanded which is a bit tall for sitting on a loveseat to eat. One drawer bottom was slightly cracked but not entirely through before I assembled it so I turned it over and nobody will see it. I also cracked the melamine top by one hinge 1/2 inch (Oops!) but I turned the table top over and that crack will never show. To attach the drawer glides after the table was assembled, I taped each screw to the screwdriver with Scotch tape. Then it was easy to screw each one in. I have a 10x12 ft living room containing 3 doorways in a 20x21 ft 105-year-old house so I very much needed a multipurpose coffee table like this one. It has a completely hidden 2 inch deep storage area in addition to the 2 inch deep or deeper when used as a dining table partially open storage area in addition to the partitioned into 2 areas open shelf area in addition to the 2 drawers. So it provides a lot of storage within its footprint. It was the most challenging piece of flatpack furniture I have ever assembled and I am a person who loved jigsaw puzzles as a kid. I bought it when it was steeply discounted. Knowing what I know now, I'd buy it again at the same price. But it would be better as a dining table if it was redesigned with each half of the table 1.75 inches shorter. To have the table at a comfortable height for "formal" dining while sitting on my loveseat or regular folding chairs, I will be placing something, maybe 4 boxes, on the top of the base of the table to raise the top of the top half of the table up to a convenient height on those rare occasions when I have set the table with my china.

I love the design of the coffee table but the top slides off way too easily. When you extend the top for the table, it doesn’t sit flat and it’s way too easy to knock over. Will probably return. Update: DO NOT BUY! After trying to use it, the table top is heavy and way too slippery—it fell off and bruised my foot. I’ve been fighting with the manufacturer for a week trying to get a full refund and they still won’t give me one. Adding photo so you can see the table top doesn’t sit flat.

The instructions to assemble this were difficult to follow and towards the end, the little description that was there was no longer included. I had to take pieces apart and re-assemble because it wasn't noted appropriately in the instructions. The table is not as sturdy as it seems in the picture. The tabletop isn't attached to anything and is pretty heavy.
