The item arrived damagaed (damaged box re-taped; damaged shelves inside) and had clearly been previously returned by another customer. I opened the box anyway assuming it had been checked before sending to another customer, but found that two of the three shelves had large nicks in them. We kept it anyway because it will sit in a corner with furniture in front of it. Secondly, it was also disappointing to discover that the bottom of the shelves are not finished, so the shelves can never be flipped over, which would have made the damage not visible. They wouldn't have been able to be flipped over anyway because of the way the shelves are attached; but they should still have been finished on the bottom the same as the top. I only took one photo of one of the shelves.
