Although it only had just a few steps in the the assembly instructions, it was relatively easy to put together. I give it 4 stars because some of the screws were sticking out of the shelf. I had to buy a countersink and hole plugs to remedy the issue. I stacked two shelves for my son's playroom.

I really loved this bookshelf. I like the alternating open shelving and it displays books and bookish items well! It was was easy to assemble and very sturdy, lasting through 2 moves with nothing more than a scratch or two that I am fairly sure was my fault! Highly recommend.

It was somewhat difficult to assemble. The book case is cheap but you get what you pay for.

As sturdy as it is versatile - currently using horizontally as a media cabinet
