Easy to assemble. The paint is a bit sensitive to scratches, as I assembled it, it got a few nicks from being on a solid floor, so would recommend assembling on carpet or on a blanket. It is pretty sturdy once assembled, and it looks pretty cool and modern. It’s a lightweight aluminum frame, so makes for easy moving around as well.

This is a very attractive black metal etagere. There are different size shelves, long, short, tall that give a contemporary look. The shelf looks great in my den with all my Asian accessories. I experienced one major problem assembling the etagere. I had a hard time with the small shelf screws. I had to get help, and they even had a hard time with a drill. You had to use a lot of pressure. But I love the look and size of this piece.

The bookcase is all metal. It seems like it would be pretty sturdy if it had correct parts. But the manufacturer inserted the incorrect threaded ends to screw into. At least 4 parts are incorrect. The threaded ends should be small as seen in the photo for parts “F” and “E”. But several are large like the ends with feet. So I cannot put it together so it is safe. I don’t recommend it.
