I really wanted to love this fireplace TV stand, but from the moment I opened the box it was one problem after another.
First, the delivery the unit arrived damaged — visible dents and scratches on multiple panels, clearly the result of poor packaging. It looked like it had been through a rough ride with zero protection.
Then came assembly — a nightmare. Not only was the instruction manual confusing and poorly laid out, but several pre-drilled holes were completely missing, making
it impossible to follow the steps properly. I had to improvise just to get parts to align. On top of that, a key hardware component was missing entirely from the box, leaving me unable to fully assemble the stand.
The overall build quality is flimsy at best. The wood feels cheap, the joints don’t sit flush, and the whole unit wobbles even after doing my best to tighten everything. For the price, I expected something sturdy enough to safely hold a TV — this does not inspire confidence.
And to make matters worse — when I tried to return this defective product, Wayfair charged me for the return label. I am expected to pay out of my own pocket to send back an item that arrived damaged and incomplete through no fault of my own. That is completely unacceptable and, frankly, deceptive. This experience has cost me my trust in Wayfair entirely. I will not be shopping here again and urge others to be aware of this policy before purchasing.
