I really wanted to love this dresser because the design is genuinely unique and beautiful. The geometric front gives it a modern, artistic look, and even the assembly technician commented on how striking it was. If you're shopping purely for aesthetics, this piece definitely makes an impression.
Unfortunately, the functionality doesn't live up to the design.
The first issue is size. Even though I reviewed the dimensions before purchasing, the dresser feels much smaller than expected once it's in the room. The drawers are surprisingly shallow and don't offer nearly as much storage space as I anticipated. For a 9-drawer dresser, I expected significantly more usable storage.
My biggest frustration, however, is the drawer mechanism. Instead of traditional pulls, the drawers use a push-to-open system. While it creates a clean, handle-free appearance, it feels impractical for a dresser. You have to push the drawer inward to release it and push again to close it. In theory it's sleek. In practice it's often frustrating.
Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there.
Several drawers did not function properly after assembly. Some of the push-open mechanisms failed completely, requiring a return visit from the assembly technician. During the repair process, we also discovered that one of the drawer slides was damaged, preventing the drawer from opening and closing correctly. Even after repairs, there are still issues that require additional attention.
To be fair, I'm not entirely sure whether all of these problems stem from manufacturing defects or assembly challenges. However, the end result is the same: a brand-new dresser that required multiple service visits and still isn't fully functioning as intended.
The disappointing part is that the dresser actually feels reasonably sturdy once assembled. The concept is great. The appearance is great. But for me, the design seems to prioritize aesthetics over practicality, and the quality-control issues make it difficult to recommend.
At the moment, I'm still evaluating whether to keep it. If the remaining repairs solve the functionality problems, I may revisit my opinion. But based on my experience so far, this dresser has been more frustrating than enjoyable, despite its undeniably beautiful design.
