Fits the new mattress almost perfectly. But the wooden ribs are easily cracked if u kneel on the bed to start the process of laying down (I am 260lbs). I also didn't like the fact that the ribs are so high up that there's no inset area to keep the mattress from moving off the bed. This bed is a platform. But I didn't need a box frame, so yay. I bought the "Frida Spring 9" Medium Hybrid Mattress" with it. EDIT: Is not sturdy! Had the bed for a little over a year. They are supposed to last years. The legs bucked underneath and the side panel ripped away from the backboard. Not durable.

This bed is great and it was so great I bought a Full size for my son also. What a great value. Thanks Wayfair!!!

I’m pretty upset with this purchase!! Spent about 3 hours putting it together. The instructions were not very clear but also not impossible to follow. We figured it out, it took two of us to put it all together THEN on the final step of putting the wooden slats in one of the slats would not go in the holes because whoever drilled it originally didn’t line up those holes evenly with the rest of the bed. There is now NO way to line the plastic pegs up with the holes. The rest of the slats all fit in perfect and the entire bed is put together but now I can’t put the final piece in because of the poor craftsmanship and misalignment of those two holes that were drilled in originally. I now have to find someone with a drill to come by and forcefully make the holes bigger in order for the bed to be complete. This is unacceptable!! There was literally no way of knowing this till the very last step because it is such a subtle misaligned piece, but it is obviously important. Details matter and the makers of this bed clearly didn’t see it that way. I’m very upset with this purchase and would never recommend purchasing this product because of this, unless you’re okay with paying almost $300 for your bed only to have it be incomplete after assembly or having to forcefully put holes into it yourself.
