I did hire someone to put this together and it still took about 3-4 hours. Visually it looks just as advertised. Drawers are a little tight. I do like that you can expand the desk to make it longer or shorter depending on the space.

The shipment came in 2 boxes and was very well packaged, no damage. The instructions were good and it came with some extra fasteners in the event any got lost or damaged. It did take several hours ( 2 people) to put this cabinet together but at the end of the day it looks really nice; similar to the photo. This was my first time using Wayfair and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We love it! Fast delivery and quality material. This dresser desk makes our living room look elevated and allows for different functionality types for a smaller apartment. Highly recommend.

This is the worst piece we've ever tried building. Because it's Wayfair I trusted the quality. Everyone's right (and I wish I'd read the reviews--stupid me)--the holes are misaligned which now is leading to the drawers probably not working and the shelves probably not working. The middle 2 pieces' holes are misaligned with the front 2 holes causing those 2 walls to be slanted. I've submitted the issue to Wayfair who says the manufacturer will get with us. Only thing I think they could do is send us a new base piece (#3) that has the holes in the right place. VERY frustrating as it's been 3 hours so far and now have a half-built cabinet. There is an issue with the design and alignment of the pre-drilled holes in this desk. The other issue is that there is NOTHING that holds the expandable portion of the desk (the L shape) to the actual desk. You can literally slide it completely off if you are not careful. The desk is beautiful but you have to be very creative amd have TONS of time to put it together.

If you want to spend 6+ hours trying to put this thing together, good luck. The directions suggest screw holes that aren’t available, many of the holes are misaligned, and even trying our best we weren’t able to get the cabinets to fit properly and eventually after 7 hours of frustration we scrapped it entirely. As you can see the pieces that we did manage to get together are not flush and misaligned. If you hate yourself, buy this desk.

If you hate yourself, this is the project for you! I have never been so frustrated putting furniture together. A lot of holes were out of alignmentscrews were jacked up, but with some creativity and a lot of cuss words, we got there. It is sturdy and looks overall like the photo, but the assembly process has made me reconsider my life and took 7 hours I will never get back.
