This is awful! Boards fell apart before I could even get the desk together!

Desk is very sturdy, lots of book shelf area, but difficult to put together. Lots of pieces and lots of dowels.

It is a beautiful design and color, but it is complicated to put it together. In addition, it has quite a few scratches and one small dent. I decided to keep it because I could not imagine the hassle to return it and it is for a room in the basement.

The desk looks great. The parts themselves feel quite sturdy. I looked all over in search of a desk with shelving, drawers, and space for your CPU. There are only 2 main issues, both of which involve the assembly of the desk. 1st: when you first get the components out of the box, you will notice that there is a bag filled with hardware. This is not an exaggeration, every screw, cam, or dowel is thrown into one bag. So, the first thing you absolutely do before assembly is sort and count every piece. Luckily, all of my parts were included. 2nd: Something that I saw throughout the reviews prior to purchasing; the instructions are simply atrocious. Poor English, incorrect diagrams or quantities within diagrams, and vague explanations of parts and/or procedures. Thankfully, the rendering of the steps was done in such a manner that the assembly can be completed, in spite of the poor written directions. Assembly itself is not terribly complicated or daunting.
