Daisy-Belle Bookcase

Very easy assembly and when it was assembled it was very sturdy! Able to hold all of my heavy books

Easy to put together and perfect size bookcase for my living room

Bookcase uses a clever sliding dovetail joint for assembly but it uses the edge banding veneer as a stop which combined with the chipboard material is very fragile. Both sides of mine came damaged on one end each where the veneer broke off at the dovetail. Luckily it was the same end on both pieces and I was able to assemble them at the bottom where they aren't very noticeable in the particular location I bought this for. Perhaps I could get the pieces replaced but it's not worth the trouble. Certainly would not buy another piece with this construction system -- even if it survives shipping and/or pieces get replaced, it's still an iffy design.

Easy to assemble as described, but the item came damaged. See photos. Additionally, due to the particle board, in assembly it is very easy to damage the front face as the item is flimsy. Had it not been damaged it would have been a decent option for a short term furniture item.

NO TOOLS NEEDED! I didn’t realize when I bought this that there are absolutely no tools needed, no screws, nothing. It went together so easily! It’s a pretty small bookshelf so pay attention to the dimensions. But overall a perfect little bookshelf. We’re using it in a closet for storage.
