Unfortunately I assumed we would be able to switch the bed around in order to fit our space. I assumed it would be set up for the book shelf to be set up on either side - it is not and was going to cost $75 to return. Thank goodness my husband and I are patient and can handle diagrams as instructions because that was all that was provided. No steps just poorly rendered 3D diagrams. Some of the time when it said there would be predrilled holes, there were not and we had to make our own. It took us about 6 hours to put it together. It is flimsy and I feel very scammed with this purchase as I've also now seen it listed for even cheaper on several other sites. We are going to make it work for my daughter but I will definitely think again before ordering something like this again. Hopefully this review will help others not buy this themselves.
