The top 2 drawers do not have the side mount drawer slides instead they glide on metal side rails and they are slightly smaller than the space, you can move them left and right but they don’t come off the metal rail. I was worried because some reviews describe this as a child's desk. I bought the 63" version, and it's very nice as a simple adult-sized desk. The cloth drawers are plenty nice (and especially well suited to a craft room). I had no difficulty assembling this item mostly by myself, and I am an older woman with a physical disability (in my fifties with a movement disorder). I only needed a second person's help for turning the whole unit upright after assembly. The instructions are honestly the best I've ever encountered for DIY furniture, quite clear and easy to follow. The hardware is immaculately laid out in labeled pouches (with a spare of each main screw type included). I'm delighted with this product. It is a narrow desk, yet can easily accommodate a 32" computer monitor and keyboard. If you have cats, be aware that they can quickly tear apart the end-mounted book/magazine holder (as I found out on day one!) and fabric-sided drawers. This simple but well-designed desk can make your daily work full of creativity. The desk can easily accommodate two monitors, even printers, and other working equipment. Besides, there is plenty of space to match the mobile file cabinet.

Bought this in the 71" width so it's a fairly large desk. The height is very comfortable and the desk itself is spacious (depth as well). I wish that I could give it 4.5 stars due to the assembly as some parts weren't labeled, instructions weren't clear, and too many screws! I also don't understand why the top is divided into 4 pieces as it makes the even alignment of the edges more difficult (you can see the edges in the photo attached). It's not as if the 4 pieces vs 1 single piece makes the box lighter or easier to turn the table on its legs once assembly is finished.
