Table basse rembourrée avec repose-pieds Estelle

This is a very substantial ottoman! It seems to be crafted to be strong and durable. It is heavy and doesnt just push around the room easily. The cavity is big enough for several blankets. I took off one star because the lid is so difficult to maneuver. The wood backing makes it heavy and awkward to shift.

I really wanted to love this ottoman—the design is attractive and the materials feel quality. The storage compartment is genuinely useful, the removable lid works smoothly, and it looks good in my living room. If it came fully assembled, I'd probably give this five stars. However, the assembly process was incredibly difficult and painful. Stretching the fabric over the frame required far more force than seemed reasonable, and I actually got burns on my fingers from the friction of pulling the fabric tight. It was exhausting, time-consuming work that left me frustrated and physically exhausted. The final product is nice, but the struggle to get there was a real challenge.

The top of this is heavy! Not a great option for storing little kids toys as they will have a hard time putting it back on. The “table” part scratches really easily and is black not brown like this photo.
