Not very pleased with this purchase. I picked this bed because it had a 3" mattress while most of the others only had a 1-1/2" mattress. Cons: 1) The instructions are terrible. 2) Two panels came with corner plastic pieces, apparently to protect them during shipment, but they all left gouges in the finish when they were removed. 3) You have to turn the cabinet around to open up the bed, so you need some extra room for that. 4) There are 4 separate metal bars with infuriating wing nuts on each end that need to be attached and/or removed each time you open or close the bed. 5) Then you have to figure out where to put those metal bars so you don't lose them. 6) The bed fits so tightly into the cabinet that it bangs into the back each time, so it doesn't look like that finish is going to hold up at all. 7) You absolutely cannot put this together by yourself. You need another set of hands.

What a bear to put together and then to take it out each time. I can’t imagine why they didn’t just make it 8 inches taller to accommodate the bed. I would not buy again or recommend

This murphy bed is very difficult to unfold and, therefore, not user friendly. We thought it would be a quick space saver, but it is such a pain that I don’t know how much use it will actually get.

We were very happy with this Murphy bed. Just fits perfectly and looks like a normal dresser in the room.

Putting this cabinet bed together would be made easier if the pictures were bigger concerning the assembly points. I had to use a magnifying glass the make some decisions. Also there needs to be a demonstration on how to fold the bed up to place it in the cabinet. Several bars need to be either in hooked or completely removed. There are no reviews or videos of the proper way to do it. I think the actual product will work well when used as an occasional bed for guests. If you make a video on closing it please send it to me!
