This bed is not sturdy is very smaller than what it looks on the picture. I’m 65 and I had to deduct to get under the railing and it moves when I sit down and I know I put it together as instructed and use every screw that was given. I guess this is what is worth for the price

So it’s been about a year since I bought this bed I originally was absolutely in love with it. I thought it was beautiful for the most part sturdy. I could tell that the canopy wasn’t incredibly strong, but at the time I didn’t think it would be an issue because when I refer to the canopy, not being strong, I’m not talking about the rectangular shaped bars, holding up canopy. I’m talking about the cylindrical shaped bars that create the rectangular canopy above the bed. They were obviously not nearly as strong as the rest of the bars that make up this bed, but a year ago I didn’t see much of a problem with that b they are decorative not supportive, but I did assume they were strong enough to support some weight like the weight of canopy curtains made for canopy beds. However, now I believe this canopy is not made for canopy curtains at all because after using a pretty lightweight canopy curtains for less than 3 months, I noticed the rods were bowing downward in the middle on all four sides from the weight of the fabric. So I immediately removed the canopy curtains was shocked by the amount of bowing the fabric had caused. I tried to repair the bowing but, honestly it was too late. Every attempt I made just added more dents and damage to the rods leaving them looking more disfigured than before. So now I have a very junkie looking canopy bed that has lots of damage that can’t be covered by curtains because the curtains will just cause more damage. Sadly, the appearance of my bed is not even the worst part. The worst part of having this bed now is every time I wash my bedding the supporting rods for the mattress fall Out over over over over. It’s the most absurd overwhelming experience every single time b when I remove the fitted sheet, rod fall off, I when I remove the mattress protector rods fall off. In order to get the rods reassembled I have to remove the mattress I’ve learned from experience not to put the mattress back on until both the mattress, protector and fitted sheet are clean because when I put the mattress on the mattress and try to put it on the bed rods fall out, which means I have to take the mattress off again put the rods back and attempt the whole process again if I manage to accomplish that, then I have to try to put the fitted sheet on without any rods falling out, which is essentially impossible and means I must now remove the mattress, reassemble the bed frame and try to put the mattress and the mattress protector back on the bed and then attempt to put the fitted sheet on again. The entire process takes hours and it’s typically impossible to do alone. I usually end up giving up and not even getting to sleep in my bed until someone can come over and help me. It’s absolutely ridiculous then once my bedding is clean, have to remove the mattress the mattress supporting it will just fall right out. So I have to take the entire mattress off the bed frame which causes more of the support rods to fallout, and put the bedframe back together. Then comes putting the mattress back on which results in more rods falling out once I manage to get the mattress on with all the rods in place my bedding is clean I have to go through this whole process again. I try to put the mattress protector on rods will fall out after I get all the rods back in place try to put the my mattress with the protector on the bed frame rosa fall out again once I’ve got the mattress with the mattress protector on all the rods in place when I attempt to put the fitted sheet on the mattress sure enough more of the supporting rods will fall out again which means I have to start the whole process over again. It literally takes hours makes me feel like I’m loosing my mind. It’s basically impossible to do alone so every time I want to have a clean bed I have to consider this whole process, if it is worth it, if I’ll be to get someone to help me do this b typically after someone helps me do it once they never want to do it again b it is just so absurdly difficult ridiculous frustrating.
