The finished Murphy bed looks great, but getting there was a FRUSTRATING experience. My dad and I spent nearly three full days assembling it, and honestly, finding and organizing all of the parts across five separate boxes took almost as much time as the actual build. Several pieces were mislabeled in both the instructions and on the part stickers, which made assembly more difficult than it should have been. After completing the build, we discovered that one of the bracket bolts for the shocks was stripped, and we spent over an hour trying to fix it before contacting customer service. They’re sending a replacement part, but that means I’ll have to partially disassemble the bed after already finishing it. The drawers have also been problematic. The brackets came pre-installed, but they weren’t positioned correctly, causing the drawers to misalign and fall off the tracks. I had to remove and reposition the drawer slides myself, and even then the issue hasn’t been completely resolved. I was also disappointed that the bed only came with a chain lock to secure the door in the upright position, which didn’t seem very reliable, so we purchased our own hardware instead. Additionally, no hardware was provided to help keep the mattress in place when the bed is closed, requiring another extra purchase. At this point, returning the bed isn’t really an option since it’s already assembled and anchored to the wall, and taking it apart would be far too much work. Overall, the bed looks beautiful and functions as intended, but the quality control on the parts, hardware, measurements, and included components leaves a lot to be desired. If you’re considering this bed, be prepared for a lengthy assembly process, some troubleshooting, and potentially additional hardware costs.

While this will absolutely take care of your needs, theres a bit to be desired. No straps to hold the mattress in place, strange hardware to keep the door closed, only 3 brackets to sink into the wall, and drawers way off track require extra purchesses to take this past just functional. I knew this would require quite a bit of assembly, but I don't think I was prepared for the organization and intuitive leaps needed to put this together. If you are purchasing, my advice would be to stay as organized as possible; every category of pieces is in all the 5 boxes that arrive so EVERYTHING must be unpacked and sorted before you begin. The instructions are very general and some of the pieces are mislabeled both in the instruction manual and on the boards themselves. I am happy I purchased it, it is exactly what I needed for the space, but this is not for beginners and will require some additional hardware and work to make it both safe and functional. Be careful when assembling, the top coating chips easily.
