We had been enjoying this table for a little over a year when, upon our return home from an engagement, we found the glass top completely shattered, as if someone had hit it right in the middle with a hammer. The table was upright when we returned, just as we had left it, and there was no heavy object close by that could have been dropped on it if someone had been in the house to do so which they were not. The air temperature in the house was normal with no extreme swings possible. The only plausible explanation is a major flaw in the glass that made breakage inevitable. We would advise caution for anyone thinking about purchasing one.
