This review is a warning for anyone purchasing these "chairs". I received these chairs the last week of March (2026). While building them I noticed that the wood seemed a bit light and soft. If I were to put them on a scale between white oak and balsa wood, I can say that these chairs are about halfway to being balsa wood. Either way, they seemed to be strong after assembly. About 3 weeks after using these chairs I noticed that they seemed a bit wobbly. Luckily I hadn't tossed out the old chairs that these new ones were meant to replace, this gave me a chance to compare them. The old chairs had been bought about 30 years ago for $20, and, even though their varnish had faded, and even though their lower parts had become disconnected in some spots, they were still solid and not wobbly like the brand new chairs. After about 5 weeks one of the legs had broken off from the seat, making it very scary to use. The other chair was getting even more wobbly than before and I expected that it would break soon. I suspect these chairs won't last another month.

They look great! Perfect size, not too tall. The chairs were easy to assemble and are comfortable.

Great quality wood chairs! I bought 4 chairs and they came in a huge box. Please be cognizant of that if you live in a place with shared mailboxes, stairs or if you can’t carry over 30lbs. Easy assembly for one person. No strong odors. Deducted one star due to unpainted wood poking out from under seat. Would not recommend for tall people, but is comfortably low/high enough for those 5’5”. Back of this chair is super comfortable and conforms well to the curve of your back!

These chairs are awesome! They are solid wood and so easy to put together. They even give feet for the chairs which I thought was a really nice touch that the manufacturer didn’t need to do but I really appreciate. There are a few bits of paint spots that were either bubbles and flaked off or missing a little, but all spots I have seen are on not highly visible areas. Of all four chairs, one is a little wobbly so it may be a slight variation in production, but it was fixed when the feet were applied. I would recommend this set regardless of the small inconsistencies that I did find in assembly
