Shipment came in 2 boxes, unbeknownst to me, and they both arrived a week apart from each other. Customer service was pleasant to deal with, but really couldn't give me much info as to why, and infact got conflicting information when I had called back a second time. When I finally got both boxes and assembled the bed, it appears that the product is defective. 2 of the rails have the hardware pre-installed incorrectly according to the instructions. As a result, the trundle bed is not flush with the bed frame above, and also creates wide gap between back rail and headboard panel that my child falls in between in the middle of the night. Hardware kit was also missing 1 washer. The 1"x4" wood cross slats that the mattress sits on, can easily snap if you were standing on 1 or 2 of them, or have a thin mattress on top. Be weary if you are on the heavy side.
