I wish they gave an ideal mattress height for this bed. My other suggestion is to finish outer sides with same fabric so you can float in room like a proper day bed.

This is a beautiful daybed. It has a twin pullout mattress and two storage drawers underneath that I did pay for professional assembly. This bed looks beautiful and my daughter‘s room.

The materials are nice, but the bed does not go together easily. The assembly was very difficult! Some of the slats had to be cut to fit and pieces do not line up well, but we managed to assemble with some alterations.

We found this item to be poorly designed, uncomfortable and cheaply made for the price. The padded headboard and sideboard are not "soft linen" but a coarse uncomfortable material. The "padding" feels like a stiff, styrofoam-like material. The assembly constructions were confusing, some important bolts were missing from the hardware kit, and some parts barely fit together. (You will need two strong and able adults to assemble this thing or otherwise you won't be able to squeeze together the pieces and align the holes to get the barely-long-enough bolts to go through holes where the threads won't catch because of the poorly trimmed upholstery.) Worst of all, the back of the headboard and sideboard aren't finished. Unless you have this tucked into a right-hand corner in your room, an ugly, unfinished, poorly stitched black coth backing will be showing, covered with stitched-on, hard to remove furniture tags, along with ugly exposed bolts. Wayfair needs to start requiring 360 views of all products to reveal when they have unfinished backs like this. We found this product very unsuitable for the space we bought it for and a huge disappointment for the price. This might be worth it if you have a right corner to tuck it into, if you catch it during a $100 off sale period. (We did not.) Also, don't believe the note that it's suitable for a 9 inch mattress -- that is too high to expose enough of the backboard for it to function as a sofa. I think a 6-7 inch mattress might be the max. But regardless, the thin, hard edges of the frame around the mattress will make it very uncomfortable to sit on the edge of this thing. This was an all-around fail for us and we are looking into returning it. Not recommended in any way.
