Do not buy. This Murphy bed is cheap. It took days to put together. The struts don’t align properly nor does the wall mounts and you cant placement. After all the frustration of putting it together, it broke first time sleeping on it because it doesn’t have strong enough support for the bed.

This is sturdy & heavy. It arrived in 2 boxes..1 weighing 124 lbs & the other 94 lbs. Unfortunately it was delivered by fed ex which left it alone side the road at my neighbors house. Luckily we have a truck & was able to get the boxes to our house. I spent 7 hrs putting everything together & I'm at 57 yr old women. There is only pictures no words for the directions so you just have to take your time & on somethings you have to look ahead because the directions aren't real clear. It then took 4 hours of my husband & I to lift the bed to install the struts. What a nightmare! After 2 hours of trying everything we ended up taking a few things off the bed & my husband had to drill out one of the holes on the struts to get it to fit. Then there are only 2 holes for the plastic cover to cover the struts but it has 3 places to fasten it. So you absolutely need a drill. I buy all of my furniture through wayfair so I'm used to putting things together. This was rough. I would not buy this murphy bed again. I would buy a smaller one that has a 3 fold mattress. We had a brand new 12 inch mattress & it fits in the bed great. Like I said its very heavy, all of the parts were there but installation is very difficult. The bed has to be taken apart if you ever move because its so large & heavy. I did notice at the very end that I got one of the bottom panels on wrong. So we just drilled new holes & filled in the pre drilled ones. The shelf doesn't stay snapped into place when the bed is down so I'm going to put a latch on it. The bed won't be used but maybe a couple times a year. Lastly, I don't see reviews for this bed so im not sure if wayfair is blocking them.
