Somewhat misleading description.... Wish I had known what split grain leather really means. Its the bottom part of the full grain leather. Thinner, cheaper,not as long lasting and with a cheap glossy plasticky feel to it. The color is almost orange. My bad, but beware.

i bought one of these chairs in brown. Then I bought the one in black. Pro: it is leather. it is very comfortable and easy to push back. it has a small foot print, which is great for my cottage of a house. Con: It can be challenging to put together. the hole on one of the arm piece was off; we adjusted it, but it can be frustrating when parts don't fit exactly. It is easier to put the back on with two people. Also, the slits where the back fits to the seat need to be opened because they get in the way of the parts joining. ANNOYING: Wayfair sent two chairs, but the order was supposed to be for one chair. Even though the invoice says two chairs, the order and the web site was for 1 chair. I am working on a refund and getting the second chair sent back LESSON: READ CAREFULLY AND ASK THE CHAT PERSON.
