This bookcase was packaged very well, and when I unpacked it I was impressed, it looked great. Then the trouble started. I went to put the clips in to position the shelves and … the holes were too small! I thought about drilling them out and concluded that would be difficult and could make a mess. So I had to get a hammer and punch and tap them in. It took a lot more than a tap to get them all the way in. While that was going on I noticed that the front 2 vertical boards were separated from the bookcase at the bottom. It was like they were cut just a little too long and the glue wouldn’t hold. The separation was from the bottom up about 10 inches. I tapped the boards in with a rubber mallet and it’s OK, but not great. You can’t see it with a casual glance, but up close it is apparent those are separated. Too bad, this had potential for a better review but there are certainly some manufacturing issues.

This two-shelf bookcase is absolutely gorgeous. It is a substantial piece of furniture and the perfect size for my space. No assembly required aside from determining shelf placement and inserting the included small brackets in the pre-drilled holes. This took a bit of effort given my limited dexterity. It was packaged incredibly well and arrived intact. Highly recommend!

This is one of the most solidly made bookcases I've ever come across - extremely well crafted. The open slats on either side make it attractively unique and quite the eye-catcher!
