Stain is darker and a less saturated color than the picture indicates. The wood itself seems to be good quality, with a sturdy mounting system. I did have to add washers behind one of the cleats on the shelf itself so there was enough of a gap to engage the wall bracket. The packaging also smell pretty awful (but the shelves themselves are ok). Not sure if I would buy again at this price, though.

I’m using it as a wall-mounted floating console, and I love how clean, balanced, and well-proportioned it looks. It doesn’t feel lightweight or purely decorative you can truly see and feel the quality of the material and the craftsmanship, especially in the rounded edges and smooth finish. In person, it looks even better than in the online photos. One detail I genuinely appreciated was finding a Kate Laurel card inside the packaging, explaining that the piece was crafted in India and that, due to artisan handwork and natural materials, each item may have slight variations in wood grain and finish. I’m personally a fan of Kate Laurel’s design aesthetic, so this thoughtful touch made the whole experience feel even more special and authentic. The finish is consistent, the natural wood grain adds character, and it pairs effortlessly with modern, warm, or Japandi-style interiors. The lower shelf is also practical while maintaining a refined, uncluttered look. If you’re looking for a piece that feels high-end, thoughtfully designed, and truly makes a statement in an entryway or on a feature wall, this is an excellent choice. If I had to describe this piece in one word, it would be Authentic!

Great quality for the price! The shelf is sturdy and well built, and it matches perfectly with other pieces I already own. easy to install and looks clean
