Let’s start with the size. Advertised for 16 inches, it’s truly 16 inches. I had to request a replacement game board because the one I received had many cosmetic issues (see pics). Wayfair got a replacement sent out for me and it’s a whole second game with pieces. These new pieces are very different from the first set. They are handmade so it’s somewhat expected I guess. The first one came in a black cardboard box (not elegant at all). The second one is in a fake velvet box which is much nicer if a gift. 3 stars for it not living up to the potential of being a beautiful chess set but falling a bit short for 189.

It’s beautiful! I love it! It fits perfect on my center table! I made a good choice with this purchase!

This is a nice set that enhances my decor while waiting for the next challenge! For a change in scenery, it stores nicely in the impressive sturdy case. Im happy I purchased this for myself.
