I was initially excited about this pull-out sofa because the size and concept were perfect for a smaller space, but unfortunately the overall quality and construction were extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was that a crucial part of the trundle bed’s metal frame was already broken when I opened the box, making it clear that either quality control or packaging standards were lacking. In addition, the assembly labeling was incorrect — the backboard pieces were engraved backwards, with the left side marked “R” and the right side marked “L,” which created unnecessary confusion during assembly. The assembly instructions only added to the frustration. They were lazily written, confusing to follow, and appeared to be missing steps entirely. Between the incorrect labeling and incomplete instructions, assembling the sofa became far more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been. Once assembled, the problems continued. The armrests did not fit seamlessly into the seat portion of the sofa, causing the entire piece to appear uneven and visibly lopsided. Combined with the flimsy feel of the pull-out mechanism and overall construction, the sofa did not feel sturdy, properly manufactured, or built to last. What makes this even more disappointing is the price point. For the amount charged for this sofa, the quality is absolutely horrendous. I fully understand that this is not luxury furniture, but I still expected basic quality control, accurate assembly instructions, properly fitting components, and a product that was not damaged upon arrival. To Wayfair’s credit, customer service did ultimately agree to replace the entire sofa after I explained the issues, and I was informed that replacement parts are not available for this item. I do appreciate the representative’s assistance and willingness to resolve the matter. That said, if I could do it all over again, I personally would not purchase this sofa knowing what I know now about the overall build quality, quality control, and construction issues. The product photos and description suggested a much more substantial and well-made piece than what was actually delivered. Unfortunately, despite the replacement, I cannot confidently recommend this item based on my experience.
