I loved the chair itself. It was exactly what I had in mind. The catch I wanted a vibrant red fabric . Although in the red spectrum the velvet upholstery had a visible and undesirable hint of pink. The red in the carpet it would sit on created a noticeable contrast. Otherwise, I would have happily kept the chair. Its a cool and fun design!

I was excited to find this red velvet rocking chair and even waited until the price dropped enough in Open Box deals that I could afford it. Now, I can't wait to find it another home. Maybe I received a dud but assembling this rocker was difficult -- the holes didn't want to line up, the metal base was somewhat bent and one of the bolts wouldn't tighten. I did get the rocker asembled, minus the bolt that won't tighten. Unfortunately, the red is a bright candy red with pinkish undertones, which doesn't match the deeper, quieter red accents in my home. But the color is very pretty and I do like that the rocker doesn't look like the standard rocking chair. Unfortunately, it's also not very comfortable. The rocking chair is more of a pretty accent piece rather than something that you can use frequently.
