I assembled the console and was initially pleased with how it looked, but the laminate quality is very disappointing. The surface scratches extremely easily, even with normal use, and the laminate is already starting to lift and peel at some of the edges and corners. I've owned many pieces of furniture over the years and have never encountered a finish this fragile. Unfortunately, I discovered these issues after assembly, and since the unit is already fully assembled, returning it isn't really an option. Overall, the design is nice, but the durability falls far short of expectations.
