Perfect for space saver but a bit complicated to close and lock S it is kinda heavy, so many small parts to put together. Took about 2hrs. Yes, I would recommend but be prepare with someone to help when putting it up on the wall.

Took me about an hour to put together by myself but it’s impossible to hang on the wall alone. It is extremely heavy. The desk itself is very sturdy but the shelves are fairly flimsy in my opinion. It’s simple to fold out but when I fold it back up I have to lift up on it for the locking mechanism to match up. No big deal but it’s prob too difficult for a child to do- which brings me to my next point this is suitable for a young child’s room for homework or an activity table. It’s too small for an adult.

SO. MANY. PIECES. For real, though. I was excited to use this as a desk in our playroom. It arrived and was super heavy, so I was hopeful. However, just opening the box, I knew it wasn’t great quality. The box was only “secured” by plastic wrapping on the outside. It feels cheap, and looks kind of cheap. I honestly don’t know if this will ever be assembled. There’s 4 layers of pieces. Layers of several pieces. Several cheaply made pieces.

This is a great concept but has just a few design flaws. The catch on the latch doesn’t work. As you can see, the slider needs to be a flat piece or different style, as it is inset. Also, the hinges on the bottom get caught on the rivets when stowing the table. We fixed this by bending the outer edges. It took a good hour with use of a screw gun to put together. The size is great and it’s useful, but the finish is a little cheap looking. Fine for a basement or patio.

The Hines Floating Desk is well made, perfect for any small space. It looks great in a hallway, family room, office space , kitchen or bedroom!. It was easy to build with the instructions that came with it. The inside shelve is great for supplies or any small vase or ornaments. The desk part is good for work on a computer or laptop. Once your finished working on it it can be folded into the frame securely.
