Not super smooth, texture-wise, but not incredibly rough either. Easy to install and looks great!

I’m so happy I bought this headboard. It’s the first step in a total update to my bedroom. It’s well built and sturdy, was very easy to install, and arrived quickly. The headboard I had before was solid carved wood and I was worried that this would seem cheap in comparison, but it doesn’t at all. The fabric is nice and the azure blue is colorful without being too bold.

Love, love, love our new headboard!. Although my husband was not happy it took almost 2 hours to attach it to our adjustable bed, it was well worth it! Note that if you have an adjustable bed, you will have to purchase brackets to attach the headboard. We purchased our bed from Mattress Firm, so they were easily able to order the correct brackets for our specific bed. Sweet Dreams!
