It is 230lbs of solid wood! For the price, someone handy could turn it into a pice of beauty! However, the quality of the finish of this dining table is VERY poor. There are several locations where the finish is already flaking off. It looks as though the wood was simply sprayed with varnish and not wiped down. Additionally it is a much darker color than illustrated or discribed. One cannont see the woodgrain in person vs lovely online photos. I'm going to try and return it.

It is beautiful. It is exactly what we wanted in a solid wood dark walnut table. It has some natural imperfections as it is literally two pieces of solid wood. I highly recommend this table to you. The delivery was a breeze. The truck driver contacted me that he was on his way and they put the box where we wanted it. It is heavy but super easy to put together. 5 minutes.

Awesome table and very heavy and will last for many years.
