I debated getting this item a long time because the reviews were so poor but it’s so hard to find a reasonably priced Murphy bed. We did ultimately decide to keep it since it fit a 10 inch mattress, looked good, and would have a heck of a time returning it otherwise. Wish I could give it 5 stars based on final look, but we had so many missing parts and cosmetic issues that I can’t fully recommend this experience to someone else. Here’s everything you need to know to decide if it’s right for you. 1. The item is extremely heavy and comes in 5 boxes. This makes it a nightmare for delivery. We had FedEx cancel on us for some but not all of the boxes. Then to resolve the delivery I had to call FedEx directly. Wayfair will not give you a discount for a week delay in shipping even though FedEx told me they issued a full refund to the shipper based on the delay. 2. Related to the number and weight of boxes, they arrived basically taped together and clearly we were going to have cosmetic damages before we even opened the boxes. You cannot fully know what parts are missing or what will be visible damage on the final assembly until you’re basically through with assembling it entirely. That means it’s incredibly difficult to replace a single part that’s defective with the manufacturer. As they request you ship everything back and get a complete new set. 3. Assembly itself is challenging, but if you go slow and don’t try to get it all done in one sitting I think it’s manageable for two non experienced people. I would caution the weight of the items flipping around as it’s not an easy task. And lastly, to finish assembly you have to mount to studs, so really know where you want to place it and if you plan to keep it before hand.

This unit was exactly what I needed for the space. I was worried that the wood color would be too yellow, but its not, its a neutral beige and doesnt clash with the flooring. It was a big task to put together and also to overcome some challenges that came from the manufacturer. That being said, the unit is beautiful!!! Very pleased with my purchase.

Final Product looks good. Process with Wayfair to get the product was terrible. They did not ship 1 of the needed boxes, then delayed shipping the replacement box multiple times. When we finally got everything, and assembled the bed, we like how it turned out. They also forgot to ship a touch sensor for the touch sensitive lights for the bed as well. Did I mention working with Wayfair was very poor to say the least

This bed was a bit*h to put together. The material are solid, but the company didn’t send us all the materials we needed to put this bed together.

Very nice bed setup. Folds completely away and is very discreet. I use my room for a yoga studio and have plenty of room. When guest come the room is very nicely appointed fir them.
